Brownsville Falls To Fort Worth

catsThe Brownsville Charros held a 4-2 lead going into the bottom of a wild 8th inning which, ultimately, saw the Fort Worth Cats score 6 runs to take an 8-2 lead.  The Charros added a run in the 9th inning but were unable to make up the difference.  The final score of the game was 8-5 in favor of the Cats.

With the loss, Brownsville falls to 1-3 for the 2014 United League Baseball season.  Here is the box score for the gameRoman Gomez started the game for the Charros and pitched 5 innings giving up two runs on five hits.  He struck out six batters and walked none.

Tomorrow’s game will be at 5:05 pm CT in Fort Worth.  This will be game two of the series.
